eGovernment in Public Administration

This bachelor thesis deals with eGovernment as a tool for modernizing public administration. It is focused on the digitalization of public administration and the changes associated with it, which came as a result of the dynamic development of information and communication technologies. The aim of this work is to analyze the functioning of basic registers in public administration and their evaluation in relation to the citizen. The theoretical part focuses on eGovernment and its related issues regarding electronic signature, public administration portal, CzechPOINT and eGON project, data boxes and of course the basic registers. Own analytical part consists of the characteristics of an administrative authority, which uses the basic registers and description of the functioning of the registry. The following is an evaluation of the situation and conclusion.

The Census in the Czech republic – history, importance and the future

Bachelor thesis Census in the Czech Republic - history, importance and the future is to assess and complete available information for the purpose and history of the census. The importance of the census is not just a demographic and statistical, as it might seem at first glance. The data obtained from the census can be used in many other areas, such as politics, economics, social, health and education, and others. The outline possible developments in the census cannot be assessed unless there are known some of the historical circumstances of creation and operation of certain methods and procedures. Therefore, to conversing about the future it is necessary to know at least part of the past. The past is described in detail in the work, there are showing the changes that in the middle ages to the present day has passed. Possible development of the census will depend on several aspects and it is currently not clearly say how the next census will look in the Czech Republic. However, suggestions and recommendations exist. There are a few methods of census methods which can be used in the future. Registers, sample surveys or a combination of nation-wide census and data from administrative sources can be considered.
